Catherine Fredericks is a Speech/Language Pathologist with over 45 years of experience serving students with significant communication challenges. She is recognized for her creativity in expanding communication opportunities for Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) users. In addition to National and State accreditation in her field, Mrs. Fredericks is also credentialed as an Autism Specialist and Assistive Technology Professional. She is recognized by the Center for AAC and Autism as being proficient in the Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP) approach to communication.
As a Specialist in AAC, she is on the Board of Directors for The NJ Coalition for the Advancement of Assistive and Rehabilitation Technology (NJCART) and serves on various State Committees whose focus is on increasing awareness and implementation of communication technology. Mrs. Fredericks shares her passion, expertise, and innovative ideas by speaking at various professional conferences, including the New Jersey Speech-Language- Hearing Association (NJSHA), the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Convention, the NJ Assistive Technology Summit, the Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATiA) Convention in Orlando Fla., the NJ Educational Computing Cooperative (NJECC), and William Paterson University.
